Our Story
The Pup & Flock story begins, as these things often do, with family.
Our two kids have always loved dreaming up new products and finding someone to sell them to—so a business built around their dogs felt inevitable.
Charlie, our snuggle muffin, lives for a good plush toy. Gus plays hard and gets bored fast. The brief practically wrote itself: ultra-soft for cuddlers, interactive for the rough and rowdy, and durable enough to survive both. The sketches you see here were drawn by our kids at the kitchen table, inspired by Charlie and Gus—first in crayon and pencil, then carefully brought to life.
Living in Victoria, BC, we're surrounded by the beauty of Vancouver Island—but the love of nature runs through every corner of Canada. From snowy mountain peaks and prairie skies to coastal forests and open water, the outdoors are part of who we are. We knew we wanted our designer dog toys to celebrate that connection.
As it turned out, the theme chose us. Both dogs love the great outdoors, but it was Charlie who pointed the way. True to his gentle nature, he has always had a special love for bird plush toys above all others.
That was all we needed. We would design our plush dog toys to honor Canada's most beloved (and delightfully quirky) birds, connecting pet parents with the wildlife that inspires us and celebrating the natural beauty we hold dear.
And with that, Pup & Flock took flight.
Today, we're proud to share what we believe are the best plush dog toys around. From our family to yours, we take great joy in supporting dogs across Canada—and around the world—in living the happy, healthy lives they deserve.
Meet the Pups
Charlie
Nickname: Pup Pup
If we're being honest, Charlie has always been the golden child. Gentle with the kids, beloved by other dogs, and the ultimate office dog—he's the kind of easygoing, loving presence that makes everyone around him better.
There's just one exception: flies. Present a buzzing intruder and our serene angel becomes a focused (and surprisingly athletic) fly hunter.
No fly toy yet. In the meantime, Charlie's favorite Pup & Flock plush is Val the Canada Goose—and if you can't find him, check the puppy bed. He's probably curled up with Val right now.
Gus
Nickname: Sug
If Charlie is the golden child, Gus is, well … the wild card.
To be fair, Gus is almost always a sweetheart—loving with our family and thrilled to meet anyone new. But hand him a stuffy and brace yourself. That's when his alter ego, the notorious "Sug," emerges.
Picture a blitz of pouncing, chomping, and full-body shakes until, without warning, he's out cold. Toy still in his mouth. We suspect he wakes up thinking, What on earth happened last night?
Favorite toy? All of them. Any bird unleashes Sug—though Norman the Seagull sparks the biggest battles.
